In the car? At home? In the office/work space? Online? On your computer? While you jog/walk? Do you prefer the private world of headphones or the blast of a great song filling up the room? Do you ever use music to change your moods? Or to create a mood or feeling? Do you sing? In the shower, or while doing the dishes, or to your children? In Church or Synagogue, do you sing the hymns or just stand silently while others worship with hymns? Do you ever just break out in some song totally unselfconsciously? Did you ever want to sing in a group or a band? I would really like to hear about the ways you employ music in your life!

Everywhere! All of the above. Music is like a scent. Those times you catch a scent and it reminds you of someone, a place, etc. Music is the scent for the ears and mind. The tunes invoke people and rememberances that sometimes your mood can't help but be changed by remembering strong emotion.

No comment on singing in the shower...

I like to listen to music in my car because I can turn it up pretty loud. I have music playing softly on my computer at work, because it can get pretty boring and quiet at my desk. I like to have different kinds of music to either change or correlate with my moods. I sing in church, but not in the worship team. It'd be cool to sing harmony in a band, I think, but not be the soloist. I'm not diva enough for that. :)

Music everywhere... at home, really loud (when I'm alone), when I need a pick me up or I feel like celebrating. I like singing and dancing with my children in the kitchen before and after dinner, or in between. I used to be shy in Church about singing, but no more! Showers and walking are usually when I pray, but I do like a good CD player on a long walk, too.

I love to sing in my home studio where I can be a whole group at once. Through the marvels of modern technology, I can play rhythm and lead guitar, bass and drums, sing four part harmony and whack a tambourine (in really bad timing:P ) and have a blast doing it. I also still love performing live although my venues seem to be shrinking with the increase of age! However, on Soundclick.com http://www.soundclick.com/pro/default.cfm?BandID=220644&content=links I am currently #58 on the charts (out of thousands of songs)and THRILLED that people may be enjoying my music in cyberspace! In summary, I eat, sleep and live music all day long every day, even though I am a professional soldier. My deepest desire is that people would give me achance to soothe their hurts and serenade them as they are sad. I believe my music can really lift a heavy heart.

Music is very important to me. I listen to it while cooking, cleaning, driving and quite often when I'm online. I personally like all kinds of music except rap and the blues. I'm a closet novelist and write many stories. I will often listen to classical music or soundtracks to "set the mood".

Thanks for posting, Donna. You have such a lyrical flow to your writing it doesn't surprise me at all that music is abig component of your creatitivity.

In the car and at home while working on the computer, I don't use headphones anymore and I try to keep the volume at a comfortable level.

I usually sing along if the song is catchy but I don't sing load, my cat tends to leave the room when I do that.

Hi Johnny, Greetings from the UK. I listen to music all day everyday from Hard Rock to the Classics dependant on my mood. I listen in the car, the tractor, the combine, my workshop or sitting here at my computer. I can't imagine a world without music! Ah! There goes the 'Birdie song' Again ... well there are some exceptions.
